Mack and I are finally starting to get into the groove of things here in Mazatlan Mexico. I’ve never been down here this early in the year and it is WAY colder than I thought it would be.
Usually when I come down its all beach, sun and a lot of tanning. I get to jog and practice handstands on the beach. This year, well, I’m wearing a hoodie, long pants and would rather drink hot coffee inside.
If it warms up a bit, hopefully I’ll get some surfing in but if not, I can’t wait to get back to Calgary so I can get back on my snowboard. The irony of it all huh? Read the rest of this entry »

I got a gift certificate from Lululemon today from a friend. I was stoked and opened it up to the following message. I was so impressed, I thought I would type it out for you all to enjoy. There are pearls of wisdom in there.
The greatest gift of all is choice. That which matters the least should never give way to that which matters the most. Drink fresh water and as much water as you can. Water flushes unwanted toxins fro your body and keeps your brain sharp. Practice yoga so you can remain active in physical sports as you age. Listen, listen, listen, and then ask strategic questions. Your outlook on life is a direct reflection of how much you like yourself. Life is full of setbacks. Success is determined by how you handle setbacks. Write down your short and long term goals four times a year. Two personal, two business and two health goals for the next 2,5, and ten years. Goal setting triggers your subconscious computer. Why are we learning to ride Burton Snowboards? Because it matches my last name and I like geeky things like that.
Today was a great day to go riding. It’s Sunday night and no one was on the hill. Good time to try to ride goofy, but we will get to that a little later. Since I have just started to learn how to ride a snowboard, I thought I would go through some of the tips that have helped me out.
