The Holiday months can send any blogger scrambling to scrape a few extra dollars out of their blogs. Doing impulse buys and gift shopping sends even the most level headed book keeper into the red.

The Bridge Across Forever

I started reading The Bridge Across Forever by Richard Bach and I’m blown away. It’s been awhile since I have read something that didn’t directly involve the Law Of Attraction, marketing or self-awareness type stuff. (That was great grammar).

The Bridge Across Forever by Richard Bach is titled as a love story. WHOAH! Wait a minute guys, it’s different than you think. First the main character is Richard himself who is an author. Actually he starts off as a pilot who fly’s around the country giving rides in his plane for money. See? It’s getting interesting already isn’t it?

Then one day like the rest of us, he gets thinking. He wants someone else in his life. We all reach that point where even though we are happy, we would like to have someone to share our experiences with. So he starts his new mission. (more…)

Burton Elite 58 Snowboard

I took the plunge and bought my first snowboard. A Burton Elite 58. I’ve lived in Calgary Alberta for almost 7 years with the Canadian Olympic Park only 10 minutes away and never took the opportunity to drop in, literally.

If you are looking to buy a snowboard, the guys as Ski Cellar on 17th ave are awesome. They walked me through the boots (Solomon), bindings (FS Burton) and snowboard (Burton Elite 58).

The best thing they got me to buy was a lock. I figured it was an up sell but thought to myself “It’s a smart up sell!” Long story short, I walk out to get my snowboard after having a Rockstar and I see this guy next to my snowboard looking around kind of confused. He then calls to his friends, “My ski’s are gone! Someone ripped them off!” I love my lock. (more…)
