5 Tips to Profit Sharing with YouTube Video

YouTube has just started sending out profit sharing invites to certain producers that regularly upload videos to YouTube. Basically you will tie in your adsense account to YouTube and just like making money from free website content, you will now be able to make money online in a passive way from people who view your videos on YouTube.

This is going to be fantastic because you will be able to make profit from your artistic creations simply by posting them up on YouTube. Since YouTube makes it so easy to embed a video this is fantastic. If other webmasters like your video and want to show their readers the video then they can embed the video on their site and every time it is viewed you will make a few cents.

What are the potential profits? I don’t know. When adsense started out it was really profitable and I made quite a bit of money. Lately the click prices have dropped from adsense but the bottom line is still that you can make money from helping other people at no cost to them.

Who Makes The Profit From The YouTube Video?

From what I understand right now, only YouTube and the video producer share the profit from the video. Some others state that webmasters who imbed the video’s on their sites will also share in the revenue to make it a three way split. That seems like a very complex matter to me but we’ll see.

My Five Tips To Making Money Through YouTube Profit Sharing

  • Make your videos short – You want the video to be short because from what I hear, the ads will be at the end of the video. If your video is long and boring then the ad will not get viewed and you make no profit.
  • Use Tags- You have to tell google what the video is about. User comments will also help because that is content that will contain keywords that are related to the subject of the video. It is just like beginner seo for web pages. The same rules will apply.
  • Allow Comments- Every comment will be user generated, keyword rich content that will boost the relevance of your video to the topic you are doing the video about.
  • Keep A Level Head – You’re not going to get stinking rich. You are going to need a ton of page views and it is going to get split with google just like adsense. Look forward to a couple cents for every video view and don’t forget that the income you earn from your videos will fluctuate with the popularity of the video itself.
  • Get An Invite! – I know this is a pretty obvious tip but for right now the only way you are going to get in on YouTube’s profit sharing model is through special invite. I didn’t even know about the program until I received my invite in the email. As far as getting an email invite to the program, it seems that if you offer original content, you upload video regularly, have quite a few subscribers, and a decent amount of video views then the odds are that you will get an invite.
  • If you have any tips, ideas or comments on YouTube’s new adsense model then fire away in the comments. Also see this next article on youtube profit sharing.

    About Raymond Burton

Writing here is treating me well and I enjoy it a ton. I enjoy..no make that love working out, but one on one personal training is a time for money style of job. So unfortunately there is a limit to the amount of people I can help with my advice in any given day unless I wanted to work 24/7. Doing that also limits the amount of time I can spend on non-money making passions. I also found that putting my all into getting results for a person limited the amount of people I could give 100% to. This is where the internet entered. I found that with the buildingbodies.ca training site I could put everything I knew about physical activity on the net and everyone would have access to it for free
