Mazatlan Bus Routes

If you’re going to mexico you’ve got to get the hang of using the buses. They are cheap, run very frequently and will stop anywhere to pick you up.

There are two different types of buses in Mazatlan. One is larger painted green and has airconditioning. They are most often used by the tourists because they cost a little more. They cost 8 pesos from the golden zone to downtown which is great considering a pulmania would probably cost you anywhere from 30-50 pesos. Which is still dirt cheap.

The other type of bus in Mazatlan is a smaller usually white and green bus with no airconditioning and costs 5.5 pesos from the hotel zone to downtown (as of 2008). You may have to pay an extra .5 on there if you are out of town like I was at the Costa Bonita Resort. (more…)

Getting Crazy In Mazatalan

Mack and I are finally starting to get into the groove of things here in Mazatlan Mexico. I’ve never been down here this early in the year and it is WAY colder than I thought it would be.

Usually when I come down its all beach, sun and a lot of tanning. I get to jog and practice handstands on the beach. This year, well, I’m wearing a hoodie, long pants and would rather drink hot coffee inside.

If it warms up a bit, hopefully I’ll get some surfing in but if not, I can’t wait to get back to Calgary so I can get back on my snowboard. The irony of it all huh? (more…)

Beautiful Sayulita Girl

Pony tail blowing in the wind,
Graceful forward motion,
A flash from an innocent smile.

The effort and exertion of her run cause the sun to bounce of her rippling thighs like a mountain stream cascading over polished marble.

I stand transfixed, gripped by a moment of fear that I will never see this again. Wanting to remember every detail. Like God has unveiled on of his most wondrous creations, and I am the only one held powerless by an emotion unbearably strong.

I think love at first sight is real. I have seen her before when I dreamed of the best of what life could offer. Until now, I didn’t know dreams could leave the delicate state of the unconscious and come true to run among us.
