How To Install Fur Bowstring Silencers

How To Be Happy
And Get What You Want

The old beaver balls :-) Just put a new string on my bow and that means installing some string silencers as well. Since I’m on a long bow, I decided to go with fur string silencers.

My buddy Jeff and I took a trip up to Edmonton to see bow maker Jack Kempf because Jeff was picking up his custom bow. A nice black, diamond wood take down. While we were there, Jack was nice enough to let me have some fur for my string silencers.

He cut it up into strips for me and handed me a baggy of fur strips. He’s such a nice man. There is not an ounce of hurry or rush in him. REALLY cool seeing his shop.

When I got home, it was time to install the fur string silencers so I thought I would film it just incase anyone else would find it useful to their own install.

Here it is. If you have any tips on installing fur string silencers on your bow, feel free to share in the comments.
