Welcome to the January 16, 2009 edition of law of attraction and personal development. This is a brain dump of thoughts on various personal development topics from several different authors. I’ve taken the paragraph that I though best expressed the feel of the whole article and if you would like to read more from that personal development author then just click the link and you will go straight to their site and the main article.

It’s important to note that a lot of the submitted articles DID NOT GET INCLUDED this time. Why? Because it was a lot of the old same Boo Hoo. “You must set goals to achieve any thing so here…now buy my shit.” Hey! Guess what? People don’t want to waste their time looking for some useful information only to be pumped for money and getting no value. PA-lease… try to rape your own readers. Not mine.

If you have some useful advice and want to share it with the world, I’d like to see it. Just submit it to the carnival at that little link @ the end of the article.

“With the right thoughts and proper actions, you can achieve whatever you believe”

The Hopes Of A Nation Rest On Obama

Imagine that you are a “nation” and have just been elected “president”. Can you translate all your new wishes and hopes into hard work and action? Can you stop dwelling on and making excuses for past failures? Can you overcome apathy? Can you avoid “wars” with others?

This thought really provoked me because, when you think of it, that is what the American people are hoping with Obama (or, generally, with any newly elected president) – that he will turn the country away from the past and change things for the better.

Law of attraction

A perfect balance of words and deeds will result in a recipe for success. One does not have more power than the other, yet without its counterpart, each of these are completely impotent. If you set aside time for daily morning affirmations, and tell yourself everyday that you are creating a fit and healthy new you, your actions should correlate somewhat with your thoughts. If you behave in the same way you’ve always had, instead of saying “I am creating a healthier me,” you are saying “I’m doing the same thing I’ve always done so I can experience the same result I’ve always had.”

The law of attraction and setting goals

Firstly, ask yourself why you want to have the experience you wish to create. So instead of worrying about how many times a week you need to go to the gym, how many calories you have eaten today, and so on, keep telling yourself why you want to be slimmer – I want to be healthy, to be agile and more alert; I want to enjoy wearing certain clothes I have; I want to feel great about myself. Focusing on the why instead of the how will bring you greater happiness and bring you closer to the experience you want to create.

When you are working with the law of attraction through your daily visualization, should you visualize in the 1st or 3rd person? Both methods are valuable and helpful for different reasons – but if you use the wrong method at the wrong time, you’ll be well into your next lifetime before you manifest what you want.

The Law of Attraction & Natural Progression

After recording three podcasts (episodes 4, 5 & 6) pertaining to the intentional creation of our reality, I realized much was stated verbally that hasn’t been expressed through my writing. Specifically, I’m referring to the recognition of how the law of attraction (LOA) really isn’t a quick fix mechanism, but instead a total lifestyle change. In my audio recordings, I equated the Law of Attraction to the application of proper eating and exercise: results from using the Law of Attraction will always be directly related to the consistent application of the knowledge at hand (both through our thoughts and our actions).

Classic Quote…
“What is the most profitable work you do each and every day? Regardless of your profession, I can tell you with certainty that it is thinking. Your thoughts guide your actions, shape your perceptions, and determine the course of your life.”

Now for some practical application that falls into the physical realm. First we start with thoughts, we got that pretty much covered. But then something physical has to happen. At the very LEAST, you have to get up and check the mail for that check, agreed? So then, your job is to get better at checking the mail. Here is a straight forward post from Wally Bock:
How to get better
