I just saw the coolest thing called Peep Lotto from a local Calgary 22 year old (this is where I live as well). His name is Pete Danihel and I wish I had his marketing class when I was going through school. I first learned about this really cool idea when I was reading John Chow’s blog looking for some more info about getting twitter followers.
In a really cool way Peep Lotto turns publicity into cash that you can then win. How cool is that? The jackpot that anyone can win grows each time a new person follows twterlotto or lands on the Peep Lotto home page. Right now (I just took a boo) the jackpot is at $1454.65 and grows by the twitter follower. Actually it grows when new advertisers get in on the action as well.

This reminds me of the million dollar home page and it’s not too often that really cool ideas like this happen. I’m so stoked and happy for Danihel that he thought of this because it’s the kind of idea that I rack my brain daily for.
Danihel was featured on the local Calgary tv show called CityTv and that kind of a big deal around here so GOOD FOR HIM! He’s gotten a ton of other press you can check out on the site as well right here on the PeepLotto Press Page.
